Welcome to Decentralized Manufacturing

Things have changed quickly in options on manufacturing processes. What used to take large scale expensive equipment is now scaled down and portable in some cases.

What I am proposing is decentralizing a section of manufacturing (a parallel industry, if you will)

I refer to people who manufacture at home, as IO’s (Independent Operators). I want to connect these people through communication software. From concept to production, I want to connect independent individuals to teach, learn, develop and design products through a network of IO’s. Each bringing special manufacturing skills to develop products that would otherwise be beyond their individual means.

All products created in the US are created by individuals for an industry. The same individuals can create products requiring the same and other skillsets an individual might have. The goal is to produce products at a home shop and reap full benefit of their own labor and skill. Providing more time for family interaction and mentorship towards a solid family foundation. It would also be ideal to create products appropriate to a child's interest and incorporate the process into a current home -schooling program.

I’m not selling anything; I want this network and software to always be open source. The core system will be developed from a project called Purposeful Patriots. Purposeful Patriots will be training in product design and at-home manufacturing for injured soldiers unable to return to a career due to immobility.

I plan on making my money like the rest of you and through video content views. I am starting at zero like many of you and want to share ideas on how to raise capital for equipment through smaller projects, sweat equity, and concept collaboration. Let's not wait until our ship comes in, when we can build it ourselves.

While I raise money for this project, I will be bringing videos showing examples of generating products along with the processes available to manufacture at home. I plan on keeping manufacturing cost estimates below $10k and as low as a couple bucks on each concept.

I would also like to collaborate on projects with my viewers in creating physical prototypes or production options across skillsets and equipment. I believe the product developement process, and collaboration would make great content to share with you all while promoting the IO culture.

I believe independent product developers will produce a new level of innovation. Consider a million IO's designing products around subjects they are very passionate about.

The network will be a playground for those that have a skill and those that want to learn.
